We have put together some activities and tours for you. All prices are always per person.

$ 5 - 1 hr YOGA (sunrise)

At the pool, on the beach, at the viewpoint, in the game reserve. The animals are more active in the morning. The place is always announced on short notice.

With a visit to the waterfalls. Meeting with locals and information about their culture and about the production of chocolate. The price difference depends on whether you have your own car.

Boat trip with dolphin watching. Snorkeling and visit to Punta Mona. A 4 to 5 hours tour including dinner.

$ 70 or $ 90 - Nature Observatory

Climb yourself to the roof of a tropical forest! Total duration approximately 4.5 hrs (from 8am to 1pm) or 7.5 hrs total duration (from 9am). The jungle tour is a guided walk through the rainforest with observations of the local wildlife. You will climb yourself into the treetops with a climbing rope system suitable for this purpose. The stay in the tree house opens a wonderful view on the variety of flora and fauna. Discover the countless animals and birds that live in the treetops. Transportation is included.

$ 20 - entrance donation for the Macaw Bird Sanctuary.

Visit between 3 and 4 pm to see how the extinction of the great green macaws is being prevented.

(No transportation, could be a great bike ride.... Is located behind Faith Glamping, before Punta Uva).

22 $ - entrance donation for the Jaguar Rescue Tour

the place from the Zac Efron show that saves the sloths and monkeys from electrocution!

Duration approx. 1.5 hrs, tours start at 9:30 or 11:30 am. 15 people per tour. $75 for private tours, closes at 2pm.

$ 50 - Surf school on the beach of Cocles

Duration 1.5 hours incl. board and insurance. Please bring your suit and towel. Transportation to another beach is included ($45 per person, from 4 persons $40 per person).

$ 80-90 - SUP (Stand Up Paddle)

Board Lesson & Ride am Playa Negra. Aller Kurse sind ca. 1,5 bis 2 Std. lang. Kurse finden täglich von 7-15 Uhr statt.

Discounts for 3 or more Cahuita. Paddle, leash and board are included. 

$ 90 for beginners and $ 80 for experienced.

$ 30 - Sloth Rescue

2-hour sloth tour. Of this, 45 minutes are scheduled in the canoe. Tour operates hourly from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

 

$150 - For 226 sloths

3-hour insider tour. Departure is at 8:45 am or 12:45 pm at the 25 miles away, on the other side of Cahuita. If you wish, you can combine it with a beach excursion to Cahuita. For 20 or more people, the tour is $25 per person!

Important...

Keep this in mind when planning and share with your group:

  • Everything is weather dependent.
  • Most tours will take place even if it rains
  • (bring a pancho or umbrella).
  • Animals are much more active early in the morning.
  • Parks and reserves close before dark (6pm)
  • Rental bikes are not equipped with flashlights or reflectors.
  • Most restaurants and soda stores will refill your reusable water bottle with filtered water for 50-500 colones - we were so glad to find this out.
  • Manzanillo is located in a humid tropical forest.
  • Temperatures range from 18°-20° Celsius on cool nights and 26°-32° Celsius on hot days.
  • There can be tropical thunderstorms with rain showers as well as hot dry periods in the same month.
